The Mixtape Club asked me to make them a mix for their March edition. It’s all electronic music that I’m enjoying listening to at the moment. Lots of interesting synthesis and groove are the main things I usually look out for. The artwork was provided by my supremely talented friend Shifter. Click Here to listen!

Thanks to all who came to my quintet concert on the 7th January. It was so great to have such a big audience to hear the commissioned pieces performed for the first time. Thanks to Clement Pianos for supplying a fantastic instrument, to Ste at the Dealmaker Label for all the hard work in promotion and looking after us, and to Richard at the Nottingham Contemporary for commissioning the work. Finally thanks to Ivo Neame, James Allsopp, Riaan Vosloo and Tim Giles for all their hard work rehearsing and learning my incredibly difficult and fussy music!
There’s a video and audio recording of the concert which should be up in the Portfolio soon once it’s been edited, but for now there are a few photos up in the gallery.

The Nottingham Contemporary have commissioned me to write a suite for premiere by my quintet in December. The commission is to run alongside the exhibition by artist Klaus Weber, who works mainly with sculpture and installation. Themes presented in his work will be explored in three new compositions of mine. We will also be playing a set of standards and some of my other quintet music.

I have recently finished and had mastered my EP, due for vinyl and digital release on Disconnected Sounds. It’s a 4 track 12″ vinyl and digital release, which includes a remix by the amazing Max Cooper. Due for release in sometimesoonish.
Have a listen either at my portfolio section, or why not pay the label a visit at their website or soundcloud page. Also available to preview on my soundcloud.

I must say a huge thank you to all my friends, family and all those who attended and supported my concert at this fantastic event. It was an excellent audience, who all seemed to enjoy the music, regardless of it’s challenging nature! Arthur Lea played amazingly, stepping in for Ivo Neame who sadly could not make it (he was performing at the Copenhagen Jazz festival though so we will forgive him!). There is a recording of the concert, which I am currently having mixed and mastered, which will be available to buy soon. Every member of the group sounded phenomenal. The artwork is already looking fantastic thanks to Kate Buchanan.
A huge thank you to all involved.
