The Hugh Pascall Quintet – January 7th – The Nottingham Contemporary

This concert had to be postponed, from the 18th December to the 7th January due to a venue error. It’s a shame in some ways, as Arthur Lea will not now be playing with us (he is off to America) and I was really looking forward to performing just before Christmas, but there are some good things to come out of it; the brilliant Ivo Neame will now be playing Piano and Synths with us, filling in for Arthur. The concert will also now be my birthday party!

The Nottingham Contemporary have commissioned me to write a suite of three pieces, that are to coincide with and be inspired by their exhibition by sculpture and installation artist Klaus Weber. We’ll also be playing some of my other quintet music and some standards. There is an event page on the Contemporary website, which gives all the details. Tickets are £7 or £5 concessions.
